成长经历
谢玛·摩尔在加利福尼亚州的奥克兰出生，父亲叫SherrodMoore，拥有爱尔兰、法国以及加拿大三国血统的混血儿。父母离异后，Shemar与他的母亲，辗转移居巴林，英国，希腊及非洲各国。Shemar后来因为获得了SantaClara大学的一个棒球奖学金而顺利进入大学。
在大学，为了生计，他开始当模特，由于单边肩膀受到损伤而提前结束了他的棒球生涯。之后Shemar决定搬到纽约，在那里他进入了一个很有名的模特经纪公司成为了一名平面和T台模特。他有幸被一个执行制作发掘，在《TheYoung&TheRestles》中出演MalcolmWinters一角。1995年Shemar主演了MV“HowManyWays”，2000年Shemar赢得了艾美奖戏剧类最佳男配角。他的作品包括：BirdsofPrey系列，电影HowtoMarryaBillionaire等。
2007年7月20日，Moore针对PeopleMagazine和InTouchWeekly这两本周刊报道他是一个，同时刊登了他在一个同志海滩休息时的裸照，发表了声明，他说：“你看，我没有什么不正常的地方。他们试图把我塑造成一个才是我现在遇到的最匪夷所思的事情，我必须要说：我不是。我爱女人。女人是上帝最伟大的创造。”
2009年8月，Moore外出骑车时，意外被一辆汽车撞到，使其承受了腿部骨折的痛苦。发生车祸后，谢玛-摩尔被送往当地医院进行治疗。
